Where the Word "Flies" Has Three Syllables

One of my Christmas gifts from my parents was Upstairs Downstairs Season One on DVD. I'm really enjoying it, especially since I've never seen the first season. There is a strong showing around here for anything produced by the BBC, and it's not just in this house. Edmontonians just eat this stuff up, for some reason. I guess it must have something to do with the ancestors of 5000 waves of British settlers that live here, alongside the ancestors of 5000 waves of Ukranian settlers.

Here's some of the other BBC stuff we've begged, borrowed, stolen or happened to catch on TV in the last while (January is Free Preview month!!):

Coupling, STILL hilarious going into its fourth season

Spooks, known as MI-5 for obvious reasons on the American channels

Ballykissangel, we just started this one and it's most amusing

Two Pints of Lager and A Packet of Crisps, my in-laws love this one, but sometimes the accents get past even my hardened ears
